Hi everyone! My name is Ava and I could not be more excited to represent the Gamma Beta chapter of Chi Omega as Recruitment Chair this year. Being a member of Chi O has shaped my experience at UCLA in the most amazing ways. From finding my forever friends and roommates to serving as a member of both Cardinal Cabinet and the Executive Board, Chi Omega has given me a family for life and unmatched experience as a leader. Most of all, Chi Omega has given me a support system. As an out-of-state student, Chi Omega was my first home in Los Angeles. Meeting my pledge class in the Fall of 2022 was the first time I felt like I had a community at UCLA and living in the house during my sophomore year was an experience that completely shaped my time here on campus. I can’t even put into words how grateful I am to Chi O for the women who have shown me what true friendship means and continuously support me throughout the highs and lows. The love I have for Chi O and the Panhellenic community began when I started the recruitment process during my freshman year, and I can’t wait for all of this year’s PNMs to begin their journey into this amazing sisterhood!

On behalf of the rest of my team and our entire chapter, welcome to formal recruitment! We are all counting down the days until we get to meet you and share with you what being a Chi O is all about! The formal recruitment process is not only about showing you our chapter, but also what it means to be a member of Panhellenic. Over the course of the week, you will have the chance get a sense of each of the amazing houses on the row and figure out which place you are going to call home. Taking part in Greek life allows you to meet so many wonderful people, give back to your community, and make the most out of your UCLA experience. With that, I will see you all so soon!
